I've tried it like 20 times already, but always stuck at THAT last part. Really hate to see other pass it while I still suck and always die at that part.

Seriously, is someone here clear the song with normal approach (I mean, without repeat note bugs/glitches)? Just want to find that guy and ask him how the hell he clear it.

I bugged/mashed the crap out of the last bit but I watched other people play on YouTube (clips with hands, not just the song), to help me.

There's one with LWD*.. he doesn't bug play at all and destroys the song.

Imo its easier to either use ur left hand for the top bit of the bottom frame or to cross hand, stretching ur right hand so far for the purples is... meh.

Anyway this is how i do it.

yeah i don't bug the finish, i do the bassline with my left and cross hands. for the inverse, i use my right for the bass line, and use my left hand thumb + pointer and thumb + pinky for the simultaneous purple pinks. i'll be quite honest - i haven't been as clean as helix, but it gets me through the song, which at this current stage, is good enough.

I can get the first buggable part well (I reached 50 combo once by bugging it :O) After the go-ga-go-ga part, the first thing that enters my mind is MASH MINDLESSLY... and I pass with my health between 2-50%. X_X

The only advice I can give is... BREAK takes a HUGE chunk of life, while a MISS only takes like 1 or 2 rectangles from your life (in SP6). When you get to the dreaded part... do your best to AVOID GETTING BREAKS and you should be good

I was doing well for the first part but the last bit where everything screws up I got mindfked and missed the whole chunk and died T_T

lol I ghosted somewhat as well, but I got mindfked too.

2 Deaths at the very last frame of sos sp yesterday... Frustrating.

im gonna go ahead and say 90% of deaths come in the the last 4 frames of sos, starting from the first inverted section

Props to you guys who can clear it without bugging!

I thought I'd have to bug it, but when it actually came down to it, that made it much harder for me.

I just keep the left hand pounding out the 1/4 notes - for the first four bars staying in place and for those two inverted ones moving it across to press both the bottom doubles...if you see what I mean. I think if you do it like that it's a lot easier to get your head around.

Ok, day after day after day (well actually just one day) I practice THAT part on my laptop screen. I use the method the guy in the clip that -836 posted before. After two more failed, I manage to clear SP6 at last!! Hooray!! Not only that, I clear it in the next SP6 play too!!

But the story will not end here, folks. Even though I clear it, I barely pass it since the HP bar had only 1-3% left. I still failed SOS SP in Specialist. Worst of all, my next SP6 plays are all failed.

However, I feel very happy that I REALLY clear it WITHOUT USING BUG PLAY. It seems that it really possible for me to clear this song. Still, I have to practice more to completely clear it.

I will post my accomplishment pictures after I manage to clear SOS SP in Specialist.

^congrats. I suggest you stack up on specialist sets before trying to clear specialist XD

i dun wanna bug the whole freaking set cause it makes me feel bad for some reason LOL. I have nothing against bug players lol, but i like the challenge of no bug plays XD ego up lol.

lols i so dig this thread. i think i'll try and get specialist atleast once after my exams. just to keep up with the jones's and what not.

can someone give me a list of aussie players that have gotten the set? just curious ^_^

passed sp6: bebeau, yaojenis, kei-kun, nlite, donaya, philz, kano, latte, kissycat (..sort of )
passed specialist: bebeau, yaojenis, kei-kun, nlite, philz.

that's sydney, anyway

interesting note: 31/50 people who have passed sp6 have passed specialist.
