DJ Max Portable 3

Im playing on hard since medium is too easy, but yeah the hold judgement and switching from tracks in x.2T mode is screwed up. Having the lifegain so low as well doesn't help when you break. D:

I played a bit on friday (thanks Eugene!) and yeah I certainly agree that the max window felt way bigger than it was in previous games.

I don't really like the new modes, using the analog stick was uncomfortable enough in the previous games and this feels more awkward than 8 button mode in Black Square. I just want to play the new songs on 6 button mode and that's it but I imagine you will have to get used to it if you want to unlock stuff.

I REALLY wish the controls option allowed the analog stick turned into L/R buttons =/

Currently level 13, levelling is also a LOT SLOWER compared to P2.

lol...achievement based unlocks are now super dumb... Get 1% only...Get 100%...Clear on ghost...(use TRIP for all XD)

Anyone here know how to unlock all of the other songs? I've read on bemanistyle that you have to play the game on hard difficulty. Though, I doubt that'll work. ._.;
And grinding for exp is ughhhrrshmph. >_>

Also, are there cwcheat codes available for this game already? I'm actually just after the songs (same reason why I played the other portable games...the songs o: ).

And how do you play the HD, SS charts? The game says I've unlocked HD and SS charts, but when I select the song again (on freestyle or not), I can't access the HD/SS chart. o.o
EDIT: Found it. Just found out that you have to unlock the HD/SS pattern.

HD/SS Charts just go to the song on the stage song selection screen (SSSS, heerp:roll:) and press up.

Switch to CFW (if your PSP can). I'm using Macrofire and i've remapped the Analog L+R to the shoulder buttons, and the shoulder buttons to the Analog. Effectively it feels like i'm playing 6.2T FX with 13 buttons, lol Much better than using the damn analog stick. e.g. D-pad note then analog hold, D-pad note then analog hold, repeat-repeat-repeat? Stuff off. <____<

okayyyy so, the songs unlock by playcount or by levelup? i found spamming missions more delightful. it gives more juice to the exp bar.

has someone uploaded the OST on the internetz? i'd really love to download it

@cameron uhh you cant use codes in any legit way you need a hacked psp. Its disappointing how few unlockable new songs there are

1000 playcount and level 99? I'm only level 26, but already at 370 playcount. Lol, at this rate, I'll reach level 99 in roughly around....

BTW, I'm surprised no one has discussed about it yet, but in P3, your freestyle combo actually accumulates even if you turn off your PSP/leave Freestyle mode. Currently at 375k combo, and still going

I was talking to a friend just now, according to him 6.2T is unlockable in normal by choosing Random songs. I havent heard about this anywhere else so I dont think its true though. Still worth mentioning just in case

Apparently it shows up in one of the level up boxes once you hit level....50. Or was it 60. Stupid I know. GET DOWN TO GRINDING.

One thing I have to mention that i've found. While it IS easier using the L+R Triggers, playing WS style songs (Mainly in 3.2T and 6.2T) is VERY, VERY hard to get used to. Try reading L and []/O/T on a whim, then R and []/O/T etc etc. Fingers don't want to do that.
