Technika 2

So I hear Melbourne has it ^^ Before you ask, I don't know when we are getting it but I'm trying to find that out.

But I'm curious about your opinions regarding this:

There are still a lot of updates left for T1, assuming these still get released as per schedule, it's about 9 months more. Wouldn't it be a shame to upgrade to T2 and miss out on some of these SPs etc?

Lets say that TZ hypothetically gets a new T2 machine HYPOTHETICALLY (I'm not saying this will happen at all). Would it be better to upgrade the old one to T2 so there wouldn't be a big line or keep it as T1 so we can play all the new stuff still? Personally I would like to be able to play all the T1 stuff still to come ^_^ plus some stuff is not available in T2?

Yeah, having two machines would be the best - One as T1 and one as T2 BUT there's the problem of cost.

Personally I don't mind if the cab is upgraded (i'd be happy if it is, LOL), i'm itching to play T2 (hey, at least the old technical sets are still there). Like you said the only thing we'd miss out on is Platinum crew and the monthlies (SP charts).

yep, i agree with joe, have one T1 and one T2 machine, that would be the best possible scenario.

and personally i don't think upgrading would be a good idea. kymmie told me that there hasn't even been a platinum crew site set up yet, not to mention cards aren't even selling in australia at current, hence no saving of high scores or max points. plus if we stay on T1 for longer, we can whore out max points until the transferring of T1 -> T2 data event comes.

hmm id say either keep T1 or turn to T1+T2, but definitely NOT T2 solo

well since there's two machines here~
the technicians asked me if i wanted to patch one machine
at first i said no, because there's still more to come. but then i thought.
since we have two machines
lets leave one t1 and one t2 and see how it goes~
so in the end i said yes.

t2 has all the t1 stuff added on also. so i dont think theres a difference.
except there is no longer randomizer. <-- sigh~

BUT YEAH.
if you plan to get it. i suggest you wait ~~
i still think t1 is more funky LOL. t2 is fruity and rainbow-ee LOL

well anyways the techie here told me the upgrade is 3000 dollars.
and that if you get t2 . don't replace the " sensor "
because they give you a brand new sensor. but you should mainly keep that in case the old one stuffs up.

and I've been told in September its changing to t2. the whole thing. but I'm not sure. that's just what people are saying so its not quite 100% x]

Hi KYMMIES, I'm from Sydney.
Around 1 to 4th of October, I might going to Melbourne to attend Tekken tournament. The tekken venue is located at CQ, Event Room 2
123 Queen Street, Melbourne VIC 3000. At me & my friends will stay at Vic Hall (if i'm not mistaken) in 380 Russell St. So, I am really excited since I can experience Technika 2 for the first time. So, can you tell me where can I play Technika beside Crown Casino??? And which is one is nearer to my accomodation hotel or Tekken tourney venue?? So that when I finish, I can just run off and play Technika 2, hehehehe..

Theres a place in china town that has a technika machine!
but the best place to go is the casino XD! because i have taken care of both the machines so its the best working in the state XD the other ones are dodgy ! XD
oohh i wanna go see the comp! XD sounds fun! XD today i went to manifest to buy tickets XD
and they had a tekken comp from 3-5 pm LOL too bad i got lazy & went home!

they're gonna have moree stuff happening XD

Before, I stayed at Crown Casino Hotel with my family, and also went to the game centre. It is soooo bigggg, and so maaaany games ^^. Is it open like 24/7 that game centre in Crown Casino??

T2 upgrade kit is only $3k? That's a whole lot less than what I thought it'd be. Tekken kits were about $5k and came with a whole new top panel (with the sticks and buttons) I think.

It sounds like your T1 machine is broken so I probably won't be coming down any time soon.. though I'd like to on a random whim.

I played Jun in TTT so Asuka was the obvious choice in T5. Since then I've stuck with her picking up Hwo, and more recently, Alisa. I can use a few other random characters.. but not to any decent level.

Tekken has died up here. None of the better play competitively anymore. I help out regulars who try to pick up new characters with whatever staples I know, but that's about the extent of my Tekkening these days.

ohhh and just to make sure everyone knows [hopefully I'm not the last to find this out] =/ for T2, getting boss songs has nothing to do with cool attacking and all that <95% >95% theory, its from selecting the levels of the song that dictates whether you'll get the high boss song or the low boss song.

so for example, we have Unplugged, in which the high boss song is Piano Concerto no.1, and the low boss song is Heart of Witch

You choose from the following:
Proposed - level 4
Ask to wind - level 5
Eternal Memory - level 5
Eternal Fantasy - level 5
Fate - level 5
Brand new days - level 6


So, if you choose any 3 songs excluding brand new days = heart of witch
brand new days + level 5 song + level 4 song = heart of witch
brand new days + 2 level 5 songs = Piano Concerto

This also explains that if you wanna get D2 you MUST play bee-u-tiful and not dark envy =___=

If you play Sweet Dream + Ladymade Star + First Kiss, you will have 6 + 3 + 1= 10 which is lesser than 11 resulting in your boss song = Someday HD

If you play Sweet Dream + Here in the Moment + I Want You, you will have 6 + 5 + 2 = 12, which is higher than 11 resulting in your boss song = Trip HD

Note: This system applied under Very Hard Performance set means to play the higher boss song, you MUST play the last song in the set. ( Next highest combination is 5 + 4 + 3 = 12 which is < 13 = lower boss song)

This system applied under Maniac Performance set means to play the higher boss song, you MUST play the last song AND 2nd last song in the set. ( Next highest combination is 6 + 4 + 3 = 13 which is < 14 = lower boss song)
