- alright, this is what i wrote up and will print for tomorrow at galaxy gs and timezone (i thought about market city but that was a meh situation)
• Line up your IC Technika card (or anything that will distinguish your turn), place it at the end of the line on the furthest right and shift the cards to the left • Once you have finished playing, place your card at the end of the line • If the next person playing is currently busy or not available, put their card at the furthest left and continue with the line • Once the person has come back they may take their turn after the current player has finished. Their card must still be placed at the back of the line regardless of its original position. • Do not swipe/insert credits more than once or while someone is currently playing
AND one called 'for best performance' • Stay clear of the person playing on the stage. When plugging in earphones, wait till your turn comes • Clean the screen often to avoid build up • Mark or name your card to distinguish it from other similar IC cards • Do not eat or drink while playing or while on the stage • Place your IC Technika card on the queue only when nobody is playing • Look at the line instead of asking when your turn is up • Ask for permission to use the headphones • To shorten waiting times, a player is skipped if they are not available within the next one minute this all really interprets to me as 'Beginners, STAY THE FUCK OFF'

| That kinda sounds like that, the best solution really is at least two machines. | |

| @haruka Yeah, sorry, I do remember that time you told me about signage back in November, but I forgot who was in charge of the approval since around the end of the year. Further info (not a spoiler, just wanted to hide the big paragraph): - Spoiler:
Fliers sounds like a good idea as it sorta gets the message into peoples heads rather than just signage - however giving out these kinda things are, in my opinion, a little unusual. How do we give it to them? Simply ask 'are you considering playing again? maybe you'll like to see the etiquette rules we have about card queuing'? Ideas would be great, but imo, if you need that much effort to give a flyer out to them and it doesn't seem to be really effective, it might just be better if we directly tell them the rules since anyway, most chances they are new to the Technika scene.
So, shall we still go on actually printing those rules or should we just go with lee's comment that beginners really need to get a card before we even consider them successful in their Technika career?

| Normally if I see a casual lurking around the machine, I wouldn’t mind it at all if they play first when it’s actually my turn, even if there happens to be 8 cards lined up behind. There were times when I see people watching us play for an hour without even trying to approach the machine, and when I ask them ‘you wanna play?’ they just shake their heads, and once we all leave they get real anxious and start playing like mad, you can really see how excited and curious they are…It makes me feel kinda bad that our constant interaction and competitiveness intimidates them off, seeing how naturally we just jump on the platform and totally elude the presence of the bystanders…but c’mon you gotta encourage them! can’t just create some sort of microscopic community that's totally shuts itself off from the public atmosphere.
So I don’t think having these alleged rules is such a great idea, if you’re annoyed with people taking your turn or misplacing cards, telling them is a much better idea to handing out pamphlets man, it’s just embarrassing to make it look as if you own the machine.

| @Leehaku I get that a lot actually.. Like were on the machine until I appear and play one credit trying to reach a high score.. they just take their card and play another game until I realised what happened.. I stopped playing and head to the fighting games and they came back to play 0.0 | |

| yeah same thing with DDR and drums. People want to try but if someone looks pro to them then they are too embarrassed. So they end up watching me and shake their head when I ask if they wanted to play. Most of the time it doesn't take too much encouragement to get them to have a go. Just tell them it is easy/fun and offer to teach them if they would like. With DDR I used to shout people a game sometimes and play Light with them (can't fail that way), after one game they usually would want to go a few more times. It's important to not exclude casual/new players. People who don't frequent arcades won't even grasp the idea of a coin or card line either. I'd save the etiquette rules for the regulars only, and most of us seem to be on the forums anyway. Better than a pamphlet would be to tell new players about this forum where they can socialise and learn more about the game | |

| I think it is better to tell the casual players directly the etiquettes of playing DJmax. Since most casual layers tend not to know the rules, I prefer to tell them directly the stuff that we practice while we play technika. | |

i wanted to fix my guitar hero controller strum that doesn't work, so if anyone knows who is capable of doing that i'll consider buying the two switches needed.
Dude, this isn't even on topic. Can we get like a list of etiquette rules? (Or is it earlier in the post, i don't lurk much) Lols, you can have mine, I sold GH1 and 2 on eBay since I hit a brick wall trying to 5-star every song *glares at Freya*, but couldn't really ship a GH guitar so now I've got one lying around, it's a red GH2 one btw.
